Occupational Therapy Open Event

Occupational Therapists from Sheffield Teaching Hospitals will be holding an Open event for people who are looking at Occupational Therapy as a career. To attend you must in be in Year 12 or above.

This will provide an opportunity to meet with therapists who work in a hospital or community, discuss the work they do and answer any questions you may have.

Outline of the session:

Outline of occupational therapy and what we offer at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals
Outline of the occupational therapy course at Sheffield Hallam University and entry requirements
A chance to meet the occupational therapists
A presentation from a recently qualified occupational therapist about their journey


After the coffee break you will have the opportunity to meet Occupational Therapists, look at equipment used by them and possibly take part in practical demonstrations. There will be information posters to view, and handouts available for you to take away. The event will be rounded off with a talk from an Occupational Therapist about their experiences at university and their career in the NHS.
